In my new Illustrator video tutorial below, I am going to demonstrate how and why you need to add "trap" to your multi-color vector artwork before you send the file off to be screen printed. Adding trap to vector artwork allows the printer some additional wiggle room when trying to line up multi-color artwork on the final product. The actual definition of trapping is: Trapping is the technique that is used to compensate for registration issues of successive colors or images. It ensures that there are no ugly gaps or overlaps in the printed result. It's as easy as adding a stroke to your artwork and then applying the "overprint stroke" option from the Attributes palette. Good explanation, I've done a couple of silkscreen and linoleum prints and indeed, trapping was a problem. Thanks for posting this.
